The Informal Launch of the Durham alumni in Singapore will be held at lunch time 12 noon, on board the Cable and Wireless Adventurer on 12 May 1998. The vessel will be docked at Pier 5, Cruise Centre at the World Trade Centre. Please contact Yi Peng as soon as possible because there are limited places available. Those who had previously replied have been informed via email, phone or fax. See you there!

The Cable and Wireless Adventurer is expected to dock here in Singapore on the morning of Tuesday 12 May 1998 and the alumni launch event looks likely to be held sometime between 12.30pm and 5pm.

There has already been several enthusiastic replies from Durham alumni here to the letter sent on 27 April, keep it up!

What is the Cable & Wireless Adventure?

The Cable and Wireless Adventurer is on a round-the-world dash by sea, beginning on 19 April 1998 from Gibralter and aims to complete the global circumnavigation within 80 days. Along the way, it will call at 15 ports en route.

The Cable and Wireless Adventurer is scheduled to arrive in Singapore at 10am on Tuesday 12 May 1998 and leaves for Hong Kong at 8am on Wednesday 13 May 1998.
