| Latest News | Hello! Welcome to the Durham Alumni in Singapore webpage. With the assistance, indeed enthusiastic support of Lorraine Simpson, the Alumni Relations Officer of the University of Durham, we hope to officially launch the Durham Alumni in Singapore ("D.A.S." ?) in due course. This would of course, depend on support from the Durham alumni themselves. Please contact us! We have informally launched the DAS on board the Cable and Wireless Adventurer, which arrived in Singapore on 12 May 1998. The Cable and Wireless Adventurer is on a record-breaking attempt to circumnavigate in the globe in 80 days. The vessel is captained by Jock Wishart, also an alumnus. Jock Wishart is meeting up with Durham alumni at each of his stopovers. More details on the Launch event here. The Vice-Chancellor has this to say:
15 May 1998The photographs of the launch event have been developed and selected photos posted at the photo gallery.
