Who Am I?

Facts About Me

Well, if you haven't figured it out by now, my real name is Eugene Cheong. I have been called a lot of names in my lifetime...not all of them nice. My friends call me Eugene. Whilst conversing with me on the Net, I would prefer that you called me by my "electronic" name...LightSabre.

Like almost everyone else, I have my pet likes and peeves. You can find out the stuff I really like by clicking here. In a nutshell, the things I like to do can be grouped into the following categories:

Listening to and playing music...
Reading books...
Studying and analysing military history...
Mucking around with my Mac...
Anything about Star Wars...
Watching and playing soccer...
Watching American Football...
Comics...
Cartoons...

You will see a lot more detail about this stuff in my "Stuff I Like" page.

I am what society calls a "working adult". This, to some people, means that I have a job (which in turn means that I have to show up at a certain place at a certain time, stay there for a certain number of hours, then leave at a certain time, and get paid for doing so!).

I am an Officer in . To be more specific, I am an Armour (Armor, to any Americans out there) Officer. I have been in the Army for about 14 years now, and have enjoyed every minute of it. Like they say, it's not just a job, it's an adventure! Being an Armour Officer, I get to manage both man and machines. (Mucho Macho, huh?) I and my unit operate out of tanks and armoured personnel carriers. To give you a pictorial idea of what I just said, I am including two pictures below:

These are armoured personnel carriers.

That's me commanding my armoured force.

Cool, huh?

I had the good fortune of being sent to Fort Knox in Kentucky, USA, for my Advanced Armour Training. There, I trained on the M1A1 Main Battle Tank, and the M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle. That was just about 6 of the most mega-cool months of my life.

That's all I can say about myself without bragging! If you wanna make friends with me, feel free to email anytime.

As a parting shot, here is a picture of what I look like up close. WARNING! Make sure children under the age of 12 are cleared from the room before viewing this photograph. This visual facsimile of my real self has been known to scare away people above the age of 12 and metally scar those under 12.
