Rev.Tim's Biodata...

Tim, an Englishman now ministering for the Lord out of Singapore, was raised in a traditional Church of England family in central England (Northampton) but was born again at the age of 11 through American missionaries who reached out to his village. He attended an Evangelical church with excellent discipleship until 1985 when he went to Imperial College (University of London) to earn a Bachelors degree in Chemistry with Management Science.

At university Tim was active in the Christian Union and went on three mission trips with World Horizons missions organization (to Morocco, France and Spain) where he led teams in prayer walking and evangelism. During this time the Lord was calling him into full time ministry and by the time he graduated he knew he should join the missions organization , World Horizons.

Tim spent the first part of 1988 going through Horizon's missions training in Llanelli, South Wales which included classroom and practical activities (such as outward bounds training , short missions trips, street evangelism etc) and from April to August of that year he worked in the missions accounts department.

Then the Lord led him to do Theological training, specifically to Tung Ling Bible School in Singapore . Originally he went out there in September 1988 to do the 3 months training but the Lord restrained him to remain and complete the two years Pastoral Ministry degree program. He graduated with a degree in Theology in May 1991.

From 1991 to 1994, Tim was full time with the World Horizons Missions team in Singapore. During this time he had extensive experience in leading and participating in mission trips to India, Indonesia, Thailand, West and East Malaysia, Taiwan, Philippines and Myanmar. Also he lectured in Tung Ling Bible School and conducted missions training courses in Singapore. All through this time he also was attached to several local churches where he regularly preached and taught.

In 1994, after getting married to Shendy, Tim took over leadership of the Singapore Horizons team which was his job until 1996 when he was ordained under Life Center Ministries and he helped to plant a new church in Yishun, North Singapore. After successfully seeing this church planted he stepped in to help pastor another new congregation,
Church of Singapore (Bukit Timah) extension church in Yishun of which he was associate pastor.

Now Tim is pastoring the English Congregation (about 150 members) in Church of Singapore (Bukit Timah). Tim's pastoral responsibilities now entail praying, preaching ,teaching, leading worship , leading missions trips, counselling/visitation and he often ministers in other churches and youth groups in Singapore, Malaysia and
Indonesia.

Tim has produced many Christian teaching booklets and also makes his teaching freely available over the internet and he has an extensive online ministry (
http://home.pacific.net.sg/~timshen ) with Christian resources of all kinds. Tim's main vision, given by the Lord over they years, is to raise up 'Bright Arrows' - indeed whole quivers full - that will be polished up and prepared to be shot out in teams into the dark areas of the world from South East Asia (particularly Singapore). He has been steadily preparing resources for this training and praying about it, waiting for His timing to launch out fully in this.

During these years Tim has also attended many short-term seminars to enhance him in the ministry such as going through the Malachi Leadership institute (graduating in 1998) and taking the Condensed World Mission course where he is now qualified to conduct mission training using the Perspectives material plus Cell Church conferences and much more. Presently he is pursuing his Masters in Religious Education with Asia Baptist Theological Seminary.

Tim and Shendy now have three children, Melody (9) and Gideon (7) and Matthew (1) . Shendy used to work as a PAP Kindergarten teacher but now i a fulltime house wife. She is a gifted counsellor and helps lead the women's ministry in our church..
