When you participate in outdoor activities, it is essential to make a photographic record of your adventures. There are obvious reasons for doing this - to share the experience with others, provide information, and to preserve memories of your adventures for posterity. Adventure photography is one of the most exciting areas of photography. It involves much training and experience to develop the skills necessary to take good adventure photographs.
The good thing is that adventure photography is a skill that can be learnt through systematic training from those who have already acquired the skills. It is like learning martial arts from a master.
Below are just a few of my favorite photographs that I have taken over the years in my adventure travels around the world in both black and white and color.
Update April 2005: I have gone digital. I have just bought a Canon 350D - digital SLR of 8 megapixel resolution. Will be testing this camera with two lens covering 55mm to 300mm on my upcoming Mountaineering training course in India. Will share some of the photos from this trip on this website or perhaps a bigger website when I return in May 05.
